TAMPA, FL (WFLA) - The badly burned dog rescued from an Arcadia home last week is now receiving laser therapy treatment donated to her by Companion Laser Therapy.

"Hope" is undergoing specialty treatment at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Tampa. She was removed from her home by Hardee Animal Rescue Team last week when police say she was discovered doused with kerosene and lit on fire.

Dr. Lisa Miller, of Companion Therapy Laser, saw Hope’s story on Facebook and reached out to HART and BluePearl to offer assistance with the pup's burn treatment.

BluePearl says laser therapy is relatively new and is used to treat burns and wound healing, in addition to treating arthritis, back pain, joint disorders, neck pain and tendon related injuries.
