SARASOTA, FL (WFLA) -

Sarasota Police arrested five people on charges of solicitation of prostitution Wednesday.

Officers with the SPD's street crimes unit and the narcotics unit targeted people who were soliciting prostitutes.

They made the arrests at two different locations on North Tamiami Trail in the City of Sarasota.

The following people were arrested-

  • Ronnie Lee Brown, 50, Tampa
  • Ahmid Elobid Ahmid, 37, Ft. Myers
  • Charles E. Carpenter, 66, Bradenton
  • Samuel J. Aldrich, 65, Sarasota
  • Milton D. Gutierrez, 55, Land O' Lakes
