LARGO, FL (WFLA) -
The teen suspected in a violent armed robbery on the Pinellas Trail is now behind bars at the Pinellas County Jail with bond set at $500,000.
Agents with the U.S. Marshall's Service arrested Germaine Small, 18, in Georgia on March 6. He was returned to Pinellas County to face charges.
Small was wanted in connection with a Feb. 1 robbery. He is believed to have robbed a man and woman at gunpoint as they rode their bikes on the Pinellas Trail. Detectives say Small hit the woman in the face with a gun, which knocked out several of her teeth.
Authorities had Small's photo displayed on a billboard, with the hope it would lead to his arrest.
