St. Pete Police arrest puppy snatching suspect, still looking for dog

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (WFLA) -

St. Petersburg Police say they've arrested the person who stole a chihuahua puppy from a pet store, but they have still not found the dog.

Police arrested Mark Anthony Clearman, 35, on Saturday after receiving a tip. Clearman is charged with grand theft.

The chihuahua puppy, which is valued as $600, was stolen on Feb. 26 from the Animal House Pet Center at 950 34th St. North.

A customer witnessed the theft of the 10-week-old puppy, which weighs two pounds. Surveillance cameras also recorded images of the suspect.
