RALEIGH, N.C. -

The Rev. Mark Harris is getting a big personal endorsement from a large family in his bid to win the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in North Carolina.

The Charlotte minister plans to share the stage Friday at a Raleigh hotel with the Duggar (DUG'-ur) family from the cable reality television show "19 Kids and Counting."

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are the Arkansas couple that leads the family of 19 children.

The Duggar's oldest son, Josh, works for the conservative Family Research Council Action, which has endorsed Harris. The event will include a rally and hot dog dinner.

Harris is one of eight candidates seeking the GOP nomination in the May primary. The winner is expected to take on Democratic incumbent Kay Hagan.
