VALRICO, FL (WFLA) -

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man after they found the body of a Brandon mother.

Christina Mahzamani, 32, was found dead between two homes in the 2700 block of St. Cloud Oaks Drive in Valrico Tuesday afternoon. Investigators say she had “upper body trauma”.

Investigators have not released the name of the man under arrest, but they believe he lives in the neighborhood where Mahzamani was found. Investigators are working to determine what type of relationship the person of interest had with Mahzamani.

“There have been some issues, she has been in our system before as far as us taking reports and call for service. That’s what we are going through now and trying link that all together to try and identify who possibly did that to her,” said Colonel Donna Lusczynski.

Family reported Mahzamani missing Monday night, although she was last seen Sunday. Friends and family created a Facebook page, in hopes of getting the word out that she was missing.

Investigators say before the missing persons report was filed they found Mahzamani’s car less than a mile away from where they found her body.

Neighbors told News Channel 8 that Mahzamani was a mother of three.

“I know that she wasn't with her husband anymore. I always see her working out with a young man trying to get back in shape,” said neighbor Larry Jordan.
