TAMPA, FL (WFLA) - A Plant High School student has been arrested for making a threat that she was going to blow up the school.

Tampa Police have charged 18-year-old Anna Speights with a felony charge of making a false bomb threat on Tuesday.

On Monday, police say Speights wrote the threat with pencil on the bathroom wall. She also made similar threats on her Twitter account.

The school announced a $500 Crime Stoppers reward for information about the threat. Due to the announcement, a student called in a tip that led detectives to the suspect.

The teen then confessed to writing the threat, saying she was angry that she was suspended from the school bus for 10 days.
