HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL (WFLA) - Hillsborough County shoppers and cooks looking for locally grown foods now have a new resource.

The Hillsborough County Agribusiness Development helped launch a directory of locally grown produce and food products.  It is part of the county's larger website.

Its purpose, according to a press released, is to "help connect consumers to local farmers and sellers of agricultural products in the community".  The directory is also an attempt to take advantage of the growing "locavore" movement, where people eat only locally grown or produced items.

Check out the directory here.

Agribusinesses can register to be listed in the directory here.
