Bay area Sweetbay stores to become Winn-Dixies

JACKSONVILLE, FL (WFLA) -

All Bay area Sweetbay grocery stores will soon become Winn-Dixies.

Winn-Dixie parent company Bi-Lo Holdings, LLC, announced Tuesday that they will be acquiring “substantially all” Sweetbays, Harveys, and Reid’s supermarket chains from Delhaize. The stores should be converted as early as March 22nd, with an estimated completion date of May 31st.

The following stores will close for good:

*Sweetbay #1798 – Dade City

*Sweetbay #1872 – Zephyrhills

*Winn-Dixie #699 – St. Petersburg

*Winn-Dixie #624 – Tarpon Springs

*Winn-Dixie #647 – Seffner
