TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

For just the third time in franchise history, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have changed their helmets.

The team has gone from Bucco Bruce to the Pewter Pirates to... well, the nickname is still up for discussion, but the new helmets with a much larger flag logo to a chrome facemask generated plenty of opinions inside Ducky's, the Tampa sports bar co-owned by Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Evan Longoria.

"I like that it's bold," Bucs fan Caite McKee said. "It's big and I think we're going to be bold this year and I think it's going to go along with the success we'll have this year".

"I kind of like the old helmets better," Raymond Smith said. "I think the flag is just a little too big for me. I think they should minimize it just a little bit".

"They seem to change the uniform or logo every year. Pick something and go for it," Michael Reiss said. "If you ask me, I'd go back to the old creamsickle".

If there's one Bucs fan who has credibility to weigh in on the matter, it would be Seminole resident Keith Kunzig, AKA "Big Nasty". Kunzig's painted game day face, high-voltage intensity and die-hard nature puts him close to the top of the list. He, his wife Deb and daughter Destiny watched the unveiling on the NFL Network.

Kunzig was 50-50 on the logo and new design.

"The ship I'm not so sold on it," Kunzig said. "I like the flag, the skull is a big more menacing. I was expecting some different variety. I like the new space-age design I saw on Facebook. But, in a nutshell, not bad. Let's get back on track, new beginnings, that's what it's all about"!

"I really like it," Destiny Kunzig said. "It's got that vintage kind of look to it and I really like the way it's set up. I like the bigger flag and I really like that nobody else has the chrome face mask and I think it looks really good".

The Bucs aren't done with their extreme makeover yet. The next big reveal happens March 5th when the team unveils its new uniforms.
