Onslow County student arrested for bringing gun to school

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. - An Onslow County high school student is facing charges after deputies say he brought a pellet gun to school.

16-year-old Corey Wolff was arrested at Dixon High School by a school resource officer Tuesday morning. According to the SRO, another student reported Wolff had a firearm in his backpack.

Deputies say the student was searched and a pellet pistol was found.

According to the school resource officer, Wolff did not display any danger to the school or any students. He was transported to the Onslow County Detention Center.
