Citrus County Sheriff's deputies say they have arrested a man who allegedly robbed the SunTrust Bank in Beverly Hills Tuesday morning.

Deputies responded to the bank around 9:30 a.m. They say the suspect, identified as 30-year-old Serafin Solis of Beverly Hills, approached the teller, displayed a weapon and demanded money. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot behind the Winn Dixie at Park Plaza.

The Sheriff's Office says Solis was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon without incident outside of Citrus County. The weapon, as well as an undisclosed amount of cash, was also recovered.

The Sheriff's Office utilized K-9 units on the ground and the aviation unit in the air in the search for the suspect. A perimeter was secured. Residents were asked to be on the lookout for a Hispanic male wearing a long sleeve plaid blue and yellow button up shirt, beige baseball hat with a white polo emblem, jeans and carrying a blue North Carolina Tarheels bag. The suspect was armed with a gun.

No one was injured in the robbery.

"Today was an excellent example of what teamwork is all about," said Capt. David DeCarlo of the Criminal Investigations Division. "From the first deputies on scene, to the evidence technicians, the deputies, detectives, dispatchers, crime intelligence personnel - the entire response led to the arrest of this dangerous man in a very effective, efficient and timely manner."
