Third suspect arrested in rape, shooting case

COLUMBUS, Ga. - Columbus police have three men in custody charged with raping and shooting a woman on New Years Day.

23-year-old Ketorie Glover was arrested Saturday. He, 23-year-old Robert Johnson and 28-year-old Joey Garron are accused of raping, shooting and setting a 36-year-old woman on fire in a parking lot on Farr Road. Police say the altercation began after a rapping contest at a party on Garden Drive. The victim has undergone extensive treatment for her injuries at Midtown Medical Center.

Glover will appear in Recorders Court Monday morning at 9 a.m. Garron and Johnson's charges have already been bound over to Superior Court.

The full list of charges against the three men are: Aggravated Assault, Rape, Kidnapping, Aggravated Battery, Aggravated Sexual Battery, Aggravated Sodomy, Arson 1st Degree, Hijacking a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. Glover is additionally charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
