Florida Orchestra announces 2014-2015 season

ST PETERSBURG, FL (WFLA) - The Florida Orchestra on Sunday announced the programming for its 2014/2015 Tampa Bay Times Masterworks series of 14 programs.

Season highlights include Orff's Carmina Burana, Beethoven's Symphony No. 4, Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, and Holst's The Planets


Concertgoers will also have the chance to hear guest star soloists, including violinists Midori and Karen Gomyo.  TFO featured soloists on the Masterworks series include Concertmaster Jeffrey Multer, Principal Horn Robert Rearden, and Principal Bassoon Anthony Georgeson.

The Florida Orchestra is still searching for a music director, so an array of conductors will lead the orchestra in the upcoming season.
