Zoo animals enjoy a snow day

Posted: Updated:
CHATTANOOGA, T.N. - The rain, sleet, and snow did not stop the Chattanooga Zoo from staying open.

In fact, the zoo's director says it’s the snow leopards’ favorite time of year.  The African chimpanzees were also happy to get a taste of the wintry weather.  Other animals like the peacocks preferred to stay inside.

Visitors said it was a great day to visit because the zoo was quiet and you don't often get to see how the animals interact with snow.
