Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff's Office say they found two frozen alligators in the freezer in addition to a number of other illegal substances in a home in Lake Wales during a search on Thursday.

Three people were home at the time the search warrant was executed: Shane Park, Cortney Williams, and Joshua Mellon. Also, two twin 10-month-old infants were home.

According to police, Williams said she did not have a permit for the alligators and she was given them by Park's cousin a year ago to be stuffed.

During the search of the residence, deputies also found a combined weight of 278.2 grams of  methamphetamine, some of which was located in plain view and easy reach of children. They found a small black case with a scale, baggies of methamphetamine, a number of devices used to smoke methamphetamine including soda bottles, pipes and straws containing methamphetamine residue and a plant of cannabis. Eight rounds of .223 ammunition were also found in the home, as well.

Williams told police she knew there were drugs in the home, but did not use it in the house. She says she wasn't sure if her boyfriend, Shane Park, was using it or just selling it.

Due to these finds, Williams is being charged with armed trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of narcotics paraphernalia, maintaining a dwelling for drug trafficking with minors present and child neglect. Due to the alligators in the freezer without a permit and an undersized black bass Williams is charged with possession of an alligator without a permit and possession of an undersized bass.
