The Wake County Public School System said there will be no weather make-up day for year-round schools on Feb. 1. The make-up day has been pushed back to Feb. 8.
The schools system said the change was made due to continuing hazardous driving conditions remaining at several year-round schools, and in accordance with the National Weather Service forecast for Friday night.
Wake schools said all athletic and extracurricular events scheduled prior to noon on Saturday are also canceled.
Make-up days for Tracks 1, 2, and 4 at all year-round schools have been revised to the following:
Saturday, Feb. 8 (Revised from Saturday, Feb. 1)
Saturday, Feb. 15 (Revised from Saturday, May 31)
Saturday, April 26
Saturday, May 3 *There will be no make-up day for Track 3 students, who were not in session this week.
In addition, the following dates have been announced for other calendars to make up Friday, January 31:
Traditional-Calendar Schools: Wednesday, June 11
Modified-Calendar Schools: Monday, April 21
STEM/ Early Colleges/ Leadership Academies: Monday, April 21
