CLEARWATER, FL (WFLA) - A fundraiser will be held Sunday afternoon in Clearwater for the son of a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office deputy who died in a construction accident late last year.

Michael G. Pavlak Jr., 32, was killed while working on a crew on the Crosstown Expressway on November 23rd.

According to a Tampa Police Department incident report he died after being struck by a dump truck. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

A few weeks after his death his wife Ellen gave birth to their first child, a baby girl named Abigail Lynn. Sunday’s event will take place at O’Keefe’s Irish Family Tavern on Fort Harrison Ave. There is a $5 donation cover charge with 100% of the proceeds going to Abigail’s Florida College Fund.

The event begins at 2 p.m. and wraps up around 6 p.m. Pavlak’s father Mike Sr. is a court security deputy in Pinellas County.

Sunday’s fundraiser will feature an emcee, host DJ and a live band.
