ST PETERSBURG, FL (WFLA) - A 51-year-old convicted felon was arrested early Saturday morning on drug-related charges.

Clark V. Reed was booked into the Pinellas County Jail where he is being held on a bond of $120,000. Deputies also dismantled a ‘Meth Lab’ located in the garage of the residence where the suspect was taken into custody.

According to a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office report deputies were dispatched to 3445 4th Ave. South in St. Petersburg just after midnight on a warrant call. Reed was being sought on two counts of sale/delivery of methamphetamine.

When deputies arrived the suspect attempted to hide but was quickly located in the garage attached to the home. That’s where they discovered the functioning ‘Meth Lab.’

The home was evacuated and several surrounding structures were notified about the potential danger. As a precautionary measure a one-block perimeter was set up as the Hazmat team with St. Petersburg Fire Rescue was called in to disassemble.

Reed is no stranger to law enforcement. He’s been arrested on drug charges in both Kentucky and Florida and has served two stints in state prison here in Florida for drug convictions out of Osceola County.

The suspect was charged with one count of resisting arrest, one count of possession of an illegal substance and one count of manufacturing an illegal substance.
