Bay area woman unknowingly documents surprise proposal

TAMPA, FL (WFLA) - A Bay area couple who met on got the chance to document an unforgettable marriage proposal.

Troy, a divorced Land O'Lakes father of three, met Eliza, a widowed single mother of three, through the online dating service in February 2013. announced they had won the Perfect Proposal contest because of Troy's "overwhelming love, admiration, and respect" for Eliza.

On the day of the proposal, Eliza thought she and Troy were going to be part of a documentary about successful couples that met online. The video crew filmed them at locations meaningful to their relationship.  Meanwhile, a crew was preparing the site where Troy would pop the question. 

Then, at the end of the day, Eliza was surprised in her backyard, where all six of their children, Troy, and a ring were waiting for her.

The house was decorated with lights, which spelled out "Will you marry me?".

Bradley Productions put together a video with highlights of the entire day, and posted it on YouTube.

The couple says they have had great success combining their families together.  According to a press release, Eliza is a third-grade special education teacher, whose 13-year-old daughter has special needs.  Troy is an Arena 2 football coach, and former police officer who was injured in the line of duty.
