An investigation is underway after Manatee deputies found several animals living in bad conditions at a Bradenton home.

Deputies went to an abandoned home at 3804 38th Avenue E. on Wednesday morning.  They found four dogs, five pigs, five roosters, three hens, three sheep, and one lamb.  Investigators say one of the pigs was deceased, and that the animals did not have food or water.

Inside the burned-out home, deputies found what they called the "largest hornet's nest" they had ever seen.

Animal Services took the dogs, while the Sheriff's Office took the rest of the animals.

No charges were filed against the homeowner as of Wednesday night.  Deputies told SNN News 6 that they believe the homeowner also owns the animals.
