Sullivan County dispatch tells News Channel 11 fire crews are still on the scene at a fire that broke out at a Piney Flats commercial building off Mountain View Drive early Tuesday morning.

The call came in around 2:40am and crews from four different fire departments initially responded the Coldstar International Building. Due to the size of the fire more crews were called in as backup.

The biggest challenge firefighters are facing is the difference in temperatures. The hot temperatures of the flames versus the frigid temperatures outside is forcing crews to continually rotate shifts.

The building is not safe for firefighters to enter so they are using special equipment to cut holes in the side and roof of the building in order to feed fire hoses closer to the flames.

No injuries have been reported.
