    A 54 year-old Hawkins County man is behind bars and facing several charges including attempted arson.

ELIZABETHTON, TN (WJHL) - Elizabethton Police are looking for a man and woman caught on surveillance video after stealing a purse containing a large amount of money.

It happened New Year's Eve at Walmart, Overmountain Drive, Elizabethton.

Police said the woman was seen on the day of the theft wearing a pink sweatshirt.  The man was seen wearing a camouflage jacket.  Surveillance cameras tracked them arriving and leaving in a blue vehicle.

Police now hope someone recognizes the people and calls with information.
