Roanoke Rapids woman charged with stealing money from elderly employer

ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. -

A Roanoke Rapids woman is accused of stealing money from an elderly person.

The Halifax County Sheriff's Office arrested Belinda Kaye Beckett, 45, following an investigation that began Dec. 30.

Beckett is accused of taking an undisclosed amount of money from an elderly person who she worked for as a cleaning lady.

Beckett is charged with exploitation of an elderly person, larceny, and possession of stolen property.
