WASHINGTON DC (WFLA) - A spokesman for Rep Trey Radel (R-FL) says the Congressman will return to work on Capitol Hill next week for the first time since he was charged with possession of cocaine after he purchased the drug from an undercover officer in DC on October 29th.

"I look forward to getting back to work next week representing my neighbors in Southwest Florida as they face the burdens of Obamacare, a jobless recovery, and a federal government that continues to spend more than it takes in." said Radel

After pleading guilty to the charge on November 20th, Radel was sentenced to one year probation, took a leave of absence, and returned to Florida to enter into a rehab program. Radel left rehab less than a month later, and announced that he would return to work, and not step down as the Congressman for Florida's 19th district.

Radel has not voted since November 15th.
