TAMPA, FL (WFLA) - A man arrested for impersonating a Homeland Security Officer was re-arrested just days later for impersonating a police officer.

Tampa Police arrested Jonathan Stevens on December 29th after he tried to pull over a real Tampa Police officer.  He was released on a bond of $17,500.

Detectives then followed up on additional information, which revealed that Mr. Stevens showed a Homeland Security badge to the manager of a Tampa restaurant in an attempt to get a discount.  Investigators also say Stevens tried to use the same credentials to get permission for a ride-along program.

Stevens was re-arrested on New Year's Eve on 2 counts of falsely impersonating a police officer.  He is being held without bond.
