SEFFNER, FL -

Two men are accused in the armed robbery of a Seffner man who was trying to sell a cell phone on Craig's List.

Detectives with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office say one of the suspects responded to an ad that Mannix Santos had placed about a Samsung Galaxy phone he was selling for $300.

On Dec. 27, Santos took his wife and 12-year-old daughter to a parking lot at 750 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Seffner so he could meet the man and show him the phone.

The suspect asked to look at the phone. After Santos handed it to him, the man pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and pointed it at Santos, according to investigators.

The man then ran to an awaiting vehicle, which took off.

On Dec. 30, detectives arrested Efrain Hewitt, 24, of Riverview, and Hector Anavitate, 19, of Plant City, and charged both with armed robbery with a firearm.
