A weekend shooting had several people ducking for cover.

Greenville police are investigating a shooting at the New Town housing project. That's on West 14th Street.

Witnesses tell 9 On Your Side the shooting started around 5 p.m. Sunday.  They say they saw two men running through the complex when one of them started shooting.

"Well I heard a lot of shots and I tried to count them, but they were so many that I could hardly count them," said Lillie Paige, heard shots fired.

No one appears to have been hurt during the incident and police have not arrested anyone yet.

We’re waiting on an official police report and will bring you more information as it becomes available.
