Pasco SO seeks suspect in three sexual battery cases

LAND O' LAKES, FL (WFLA) - Detectives in Pasco County are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a sexual battery suspect who is posing as a law enforcement officer.

The unidentified man has committed at least three crimes since October. The latest occurred on Tuesday.

According to a Pasco County Sheriff’s Office report the suspect is targeting prostitutes. Investigators say he takes his victims to a secluded area, identifies himself as a law enforcement officer and assaults them.

The incidents have occurred along US 19 between New Port Richey and Hudson the report states.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between the ages of 35 and 40. He stands 6’ tall and weighs approximately 230 pounds. The suspect has brown eyes, straight brown hair with a goatee, mustache and medium complexion.

Investigators working the case say he has been seen driving two vehicles. One is described as an older model Ford F-150 pick-up truck, red in color with a tool box in the bed. The second is an older model, light-blue Sports Utility Vehicle or Chevy Blazer.
