Robbers hit two Lenoir County stores

Posted: Updated:
Lenoir County Sheriff's deputies are looking for two suspects they believe are responsible for two armed robberies Saturday night.

Around 8 PM, the two suspects, one with a handgun the other with a long gun, robbed the Tienda Mexicana Garibaldi on HWY 11/55 in Kinston.  Then an hour later, the suspects went to LaGrange and robbed the Dollar General on Washington Street.

Major Ryan Dawson said, “We believe the suspects are the same for both robberies based upon video surveillance in the two stores.  Fortunately, the masked suspects did not harm anyone in these incidents.”

One identifying factor is that one of the suspects was wearing a possible Greene Central High sweatshirt.  It was a blue “RAMS” sweatshirt/hoodie. Deputies are asking anyone with information to call them.
