Police investigate Salvation Army Thrift Store robbery

KINSTON, N.C. - The Kinston Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at the Salvation Army Thrift Store.

Police tell 9 On Your Side they got a call about a robbery just before 5p.m. on Friday. Police say one suspect entered the store on Boy Scouts Boulevard and demanded money. The suspect then made his way to the cash register and left with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police say the suspect did mention having a handgun during the incident.

The suspect is described as a tall slender man. Police say he was wearing blue pants and a bandana over his face.

No one was injured during the incident.
