Sweater donation to Salvation Army could earn chance to meet Bill Cosby

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

The Salvation Army and the Crown Center in Fayetteville have come up with a novel way to raise sweaters for the needy in the area.

Comedian Bill Cosby will be in Fayetteville Jan. 17 at the Crown Theatre. Anyone who donates a new or gently used sweater to the Salvation Army can win two tickets to the show and a chance to meet Cosby.

Cosby was famous for wearing colorful sweaters on his long-running television show.

Sweaters can be dropped off at the north entrance lobby of the Crown Coliseum through Monday, Jan. 13. A winner will be drawn at random by Crown Center Staff and notified no later than Jan. 14.

Tickets to the show range from $36.50 - $56.50 and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com, the Crown Center Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets or by phone at 1-800-745-3000. Additional fees and service charges may apply.
