Fayetteville police search for female bank robber

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

Fayetteville police are searching for a female suspect after a bank robbery Thursday morning.

Police said the PNC Bank at 454 Ramsey Street was robbed just before noon by an unknown black female.

The suspect approached the counter and handed a note to the teller demanding money from the business, police said.  The suspect obtained an undetermined amount of money from the bank and then fled the scene.

The suspect was described as standing 5 feet 8 inches tall wearing a black jacket, white T-shirt, black pants, sunglasses, and a red toboggan.
