Opelika police need help identifying a theft suspect

OPELIKA, Ala. -

Opelika police need the public's help identifying a suspect in a theft that occurred Nov. 16.

A woman realized while shopping in Tiger Town that her wallet was missing. According to the victim her wallet contained personal identification, several credit and debit cards, her checkbook and approximately $100 in cash. Investigation revealed the victim's cards were used to make several purchases at various stores in the Tiger Town area.

The photo shows a black female suspect who is believed to have used one of the victim's credit cards at Kinnucan's at approximately 5:05 p.m. on Nov. 16 to purchase a pair of Ugg boots. The suspect was in the company of another black female adult and three juveniles.

    An Amber Alert has been canceled after 2-year old Maliah Harris was found safe in Georgia. Her 7-month-old sibling, Alyssa, was found dead and Maliah disappeared from a Mississippi home which prompted authorities to issue the alert. The girls parents, Donald Boyd Harris,34, and Allison Studdard, 31, are now in custody.
