With her classmates all around her, the animated 5-year old in the plaid outfit can be seen on YouTube giving it her all at the Plumb Elementary School Christmas show in Clearwater.

If you look closely, you can see that Claire Koch is signing the words to the song.

"'Cuz my parents could understand," said Claire.

Claire's parents, Tom and Lori, are both deaf.  Lori posted the video on Monday, and so far, more than a 1.7 million people have watched it.

"Oh no. Not at all. It was completely unexpected. But I'm not surprised how many people think she's adorable, because I agree with them," said Lori Koch.

Claire and her Dad have a phrase to explain their special relationship.

"We love each other past Pluto. So the two of us, that's how much I'm proud of her. It's way beyond Pluto," said Tom Koch.

Claire, the oldest of two sisters, learned how to sign as a baby.

She has big plans for when she gets older.

"A signing teacher," she said.

Children of deaf parents are sometimes called "KODA", for "kids of deaf adults".

"And so this is a great opportunity really expose the KODA community and to get other people interested into learning sign language," said Lori Koch.
