LAKELAND, FL (WFLA) - A DCF child protection investigator is charged with sexual battery after authorities say he forced a Lakeland mother to have sex with him on multiple occasions.

Investigators say Jason Montgomery, 27, was assigned to a DCF case involving a Lakeland family. On Dec. 5, 2012, Montgomery visited the home of the woman as part of his casework.

While at the residence, the woman's children arrived home from school and Montgomery asked the kids to leave the home. He then allegedly told the woman she "needed" to have sex with him, according to Lakeland Police. The woman told investigators she refused, then Montgomery allegedly said, "Well then I am going to be forced to do what I have to do." The woman told investigators she felt helpless because of his position with DCF, according to Lakeland Police.

An arrest affidavit says the woman told detectives the sexual batteries occurred from August 2012 through January of 2013. She reported the alleged incidents to authorities in September of 2013, according to Lakeland Police.

Detectives say Montgomery denied having any sexual or personal interaction with the woman. However, detectives received notification from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement that DNA evidence in the woman's home matched Montgomery's DNA profile.

Montgomery was arrested on two counts of felony first degree sexual battery and was booked into the Polk County Jail.

Montgomery had worked as a DCF investigator since October of 2011. He is a Bartow resident.
