RALEIGH, N.C. -

The Raleigh Police Department said officers arrested a man in connection with four robberies starting in October.

Jimmy Christopher Carden, of 4003 Wake Forest Road, was arrested at his residence Thursday morning, police said.

Carden is charged with three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, one count of common law robbery, and two counts of attempted common law robbery, police said.

Police connected Carden to a robbery that occurred Nov. 4 shortly after 7:30 p.m. at a Subway restaurant at 4003 Wake Forest Rd., and the other occurred Nov. 7 shortly before 7 p.m. at an Ace Hardware store at 6196 Falls of Neuse Rd.

Carden was also found responsible for an Oct. 28 robbery of the Kerr Drug store at 4411 Six Forks Rd. and with a Nov. 29 robbery of Cameron Clothing Company at 4351-11 The Circle at North Hills, police said.

Raleigh police said a tip was instrumental in identifying Carden as the suspect.
