Hernando K-9 completes training with deputy

HERNANDO COUNTY, FL (WFLA) - After four months of hard work, Hernando County Deputy Brandon Cox and his partner, K-9 Judge Topper, are ready to emBARK on their journey of crime fighting adventures in Hernando County.

During their training, the K-9 teams are taught a variety of skills such as obedience, bite work, area searches, building searches, tracking and human odor response.

Deputy Cox and K-9 Judge Topper received a certificate of completion from the Clearwater Police Department and are now a certified K-9 team through FDLE.

Deputy Cox and K-9 Judge Topper will hit the streets together for the first time next week.
