CHURCH HILL, TN (WJHL) - We have new information regarding the death of a teenager in Hawkins County.

On the day before Thanksgiving, Church Hill police found the body of an 18-year-old boy outside a mobile home on Burlington Road.

Investigators told us the body appeared to have been outside for several hours.

Wednesday, we spoke with the mother of the victim. Her son's name is Jimmy Dwayne Turner-Cradic.

He was a senior at Volunteer High School.

Jimmy's mother, Kathy Cradic, says she needs to know what happened the night her son died.

"Anybody at all who knows anything," said Cradic. "I need something. I need to know why my son? Why him?"

Police are waiting for a preliminary autopsy report to determine the cause of death.

"We don't have anything from the forensic folks who would point us one way or another," said Church Hill Police Chief Mark Johnson. "Right now we're in a holding pattern."

The investigation is still ongoing.

Jimmy Turner-Cradic was set to graduate in December. His mother will receive his diploma.
