Portion of Boone Ridge Road collapses, crews fill hole

Posted: Updated:
JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) -

Crews worked into the night to stop a leak and fill the hole it caused on Boone Ridge Road Tuesday.

The road is now passable.

That hole in the 200 block of Boone Ridge opened up underneath the back end of a garbage truck Tuesday, but the truck was able to be driven out of the hole.

The hole has been filled rocks that must settle before blacktop can be applied. Good weather will determine when the hole can be paved.
