TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

Investigators with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a 20-year-old Pinellas Park woman on homicide charges stemming from a botched robbery.

Erika Sanez is being held without bond at the Hillsborough County Jail. She is facing one count of second-degree murder.

According to a HCSO report deputies were dispatched to the Town and Country Hospital on Webb Rd. just before 5 a.m. on Friday. When they arrived hospital officials informed them that a black male identified as Marlin Anthony Walker had been brought to the facility with a gunshot wound the upper right chest area.

The 20-year-old Tampa resident died as a result of that injury.

Investigators say Sanchez drove Walker to the hospital. A preliminary investigation revealed that Walker was shot by Travis Weller, a 22-year-old Tampa man.

Investigators say Sanez and Weller met approximately one month ago and that Sanez recently contacted Weller to make arrangements for a date. Sanez met Weller early Friday and took him to a vacant address on Plum Grove Court where Walker and two unidentified males were waiting to rob Weller.

When the three men attempted to commit the crime Weller he pulled out a handgun and fired. He immediately called 9-1-1 to explain the situation and waited at the scene for deputies to arrive.

After Sanez was read her rights she confessed that she, Walker and the two other suspects lured Weller to the abandoned home in an attempt to steal his money and valuables. Weller positively identified Sanez as the person who brought him to Plum Grove Court.

Deputies are still trying to identify, locate and arrest the other two suspects. Walker had an extensive arrest record in Hillsborough County and had served time in state prison on grand theft, battery and criminal mischief charges.

If you have any information about this incident or the identity of the other two suspects, please contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
