Pinterest is a widely popular website and taking the country by storm. If you may not be familiar with it, it's a virtual pinboard where you can "pin" home décor ideas, recipes, DIY projects, and many more. As part of News Channel 11’s newest Pinterest segment, we take your "pins" and bring them to life.

Tuesday News Channel 11 made some easy DIY cinnamon stick candles. They’re perfect for the any last minute home décor or tablescape and the best part is they are easy to make and won’t break the bank!

What you’ll need:

    - 1 candle (or however many you want to decorate)

    - 2 bags of cinnamon sticks (or you can walk outside and grab sticks from the ground)

    - hot glue gun

    - 1 piece of felt

    - 1 roll of twine

**These make one candle

Directions:

- Take your candle and wrap a piece of felt around the middle of the candle about one inch thick. Hot glue the ends together so it’s taught enough to stay around the candle but you can slide it off the top too.

- Take your cinnamon sticks (or twigs from outside) and place them around the candle, hot gluing the middle part of the stick to the felt, so there is an even amount of stick on the top and bottom of the felt. Repeat this all the way around the candle.

- Once the candle is completely covered, take your twine and wrap it around the middle of the candle around the outside of the cinnamon sticks and tie in a bow.

We want to see your pins, and we may even give them a go on air! Pin your ideas to our boards here (pinterest.com/wjhl11).
