Marine surprises family during Detroit Lions game at Ford Field

DETROIT -

The Detroit Lions invited the family of U.S. Marine Corps Captain Josh Munsee onto the field during a break in the action to watch a video message from him in Afghanistan- or so they thought.

As his wife and their three children stood on the field watching the pre-recorded message, Josh sneaked up behind them in uniform, bearing a bouquet of flowers.

Lions and Buccaneers players, along with thousands of fans in the stands at Ford Field cheered for the young family's reunion.

Munsee, who lost a kidney and his spleen on his tour in Afghanistan, will spend Thanksgiving at home with his family this year.
