Dunedin sinkhole filled, repairs to road completed

DUNEDIN, FL - A sinkhole that severely damaged two Dunedin homes has been completely filled and repairs to a nearby road are also finished.

The sinkhole opened up next to homes at 1100 Robmar and 1112 Robmar Rd on Thursday, Nov. 14.

The filling of the sinkhole and repairs to the road were completed on Monday, Nov. 18.

City of Dunedin workers used 5,000 cubic yards of dirt to fill the sinkhole which was 96 feet wide and 56 feet deep.

111 tons of debris was removed from the site and 70 feet of sewer pipe was replaced.

The total estimated costs accrued by the City of Dunedin's emergency response effort is $90,000, according to the City of Dunedin.
