LARGO, FL (WFLA) -

Beth Golden says she was told it would take two days to install custom cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom of her St. Petersburg condo. But, she says months have gone by, and Largo's "The Cabinet Place" still isn't finished.

"I didn't give him a loan," she said. "I gave him money to do a job."

Golden says her life has been on hold. Workers, she says, drop by for a few hours at a time, then disappear

And she's not the only one. 8 on Your Side received another call from a customer who says she paid for a desk months ago and got nothing. After four weeks of complaining, she got a refund.

The Better Business Bureau has given The Cabinet Place an "F" rating. The company has been in business for nearly 12 years and until this year had a rating with the Better Business Bureau. But now, the BBB has seven complaints, and Pinellas County Consumer Protection is investigating.

Company owner Tony Jackson says he fell behind after a few key employees quit and he's trying to catch back up.

"There have been no complaints about the quality and craftsmanship," he said. "It's just been the time frame that we've been trying to get out from under."

He said he has every intention of finishing jobs, and agreed to finish all the jobs he's already started before starting new ones.

"The jobs I'm trying to get now are for January and February, so the company can stay in business."
