FDLE: death of Sheena Morris ruled suicide

BRADENTON, FL (WFLA) - The death of Sheena Morris has been ruled a suicide by Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigators.

In January of 2009, officers found Morris dead in a Bradenton Beach hotel room.  Bradenton P.D. ruled her death a suicide.

However, her parents have been trying to convince police that Sheena was murdered, and called for a larger investigation.

The homicide division chief released a statement Wednesday afternoon saying the investigation shows no evidence of a homicide.

In the wake of that statement, Sheena Morris' mother said she will hold a press conference at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.
