Kat Robichaud's vision of Top 10 performance comes to life on stage

Not pulling a single punch, Raleigh's Kat Robichaud tackled her Top 10 performance with masked back-up dancers, a gold piano and Pat Benatar.

Kat performed Benatar's rock ballad "We Belong," and the North Carolina native said she put everything on the line, breathing life into her vision for the song with the help of her coach.

"When I was given the song, I was like, 'You know, I've always envisioned Spanish dancers coming around and clapping,'" Kat explained after her performance.

She said CeeLo Green took her idea for dancers, as well as a suggestion to begin the song playing a piano, and built on them in a way that only CeeLo knows how.

"CeeLo was like, 'After you play the piano, you have to get up on that piano and then just rock it out ... and the guys have to be wearing masks and your piano has to be gold,'" Kat said.

Of course, Kat is no stranger to such theatrical performances. During her Blind Audition, Kat's high kick was one of the most talked about moves of the night; and then during the Battle Rounds there was the infamous "Robi-shuffle" that quickly turned into an Internet meme.

Just last week, she made "The Voice" history by being the first performer to stage dive during the competition.

Still, the leap wasn't enough to keep Kat out of the bottom three, and her fate rested in the hands of her fans and the newly introduced Instant Save. The Instant Save window was open for five minutes while fans tweeted "#VoiceSave" along with the name of the artist they wanted to save.

Kat stood nervously on stage with teammate Jonny Gray and Team Christina's Josh Logan. But ultimately it was Kat who would move on to compete in the Top 10.

"If it wasn't for America, I wouldn't have had that wonderful performance," Kat said. "I wouldn't have had that to check off on my list."

She said, "I just got to live out a childhood fantasy in front of millions of people. It was such a humbling experience just because I'm so thankful to be here."

Fans had until 11 a.m. (EST) on Tuesday to vote for Kat a number of different ways:
