TAMPA, FL (WFLA) - The state has rested and the defense is expected to wrap up its case Friday in the murder trial of the man accused of killing two Tampa police officers David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab.

Dontae Morris is charged with first-degree murder of the officers in 2010. The events of that night were captured by a patrol car camera.

In court Thursday the defense moved for a mistrial claiming that the rules about who can see the car camera video gives the state an unfair advantage.

Judge William Fuente denied the request. Morris will not testify in court. The defense stated that no fingerprint evidence ties Morris to the crime scene. State said on Firday the video itself is enough to convict Morris.
