The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is hosting a 12-hour drumming event to raise awareness of the problem of bullying.

The "Beat the Bullies" drumming event will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday November 9.  It will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room at Osceola Middle School in Seminole.

Pinellas County School Resource Deputy Ural Darling, along with other law enforcement members, students, teachers and community leaders will beat the drums against bullying for 12-straight hours.

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of the problem of bullying in Pinellas schools, and also to encourage intervention and prevention before matters escalate and get out of hand.
