Manatee robbery suspect makes off with cash, hamburger

BRADENTON, FL (WFLA) -

Investigators with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office are on the lookout for a suspect who stole a hamburger and a bottle of water from a convenience store in Bradenton early Saturday.

Deputies say the incident occurred just before 7 a.m. at the Sunoco gas station in the 5900 block of 15th St. East.

According to a MCSO report a man walked into the business and waited in line for the store clerk to ring up his items. When the suspect reached the register he told the employee that he had a gun and wanted all the money he had.

The implied he had a weapon in his right pocket but it was not seen. He ran from the store with his burger, water and a couple of dollars.

Investigators say the man is a black male, stands approximately 6’ tall, weighs about 220 pounds and was last seen wearing a white tank top and blue shorts. He is between 28 and 35 years of age the report states.
